Fred's primary role is a VoIP Consultant, specializing in Open Source software including Asterisk, Kamailio (formerly OpenSER), and FreeSWITCH.

For more than 20 years, Fred has provided VoIP consulting services for enterprises, businesses, and carriers, including design, implementation, support, troubleshooting, and emergency support.

Fred enjoys evangelizing open source telecom and has spoken at Astricon, ITEXPO, ClueCon, Asterisk World, and more.

Community involvement

Always close to the community.

Fred participates in Kamailio World, AstriCon, ClueCon, and other support activities for Open Source RTC. He is a contributor to Kamailio and a member of the Kamailio Project Management Board.

In 2020, Fred founded APIBAN, a free service designed to help prevent unwanted SIP/HTTP traffic.

Fred enjoys eating and spending time with family (including friends) and has a particular fondness for backpacks.
